Description

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications, the Center for the Development of Pharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical and Brewing Industries in the city, in cooperation with Peak Scientific Instruments Company, organized a workshop entitled: Mastering HPLC Techniques In the presence of deans of research institutes, members of the city’s research staff, representatives of pharmaceutical companies, some university faculty members, some members of the research staff of SRTA, and students of various Egyptian universities, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the city’s headquarters in the new city of Burj Al Arab. Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City, illustrates the capabilities and laboratory equipment that the City possesses and the experience and knowledge that researchers of SRTA can serve to the industrial field, especially the pharmaceutical industries, and to support them with research, scientific consultations and the resulting outputs. She also stated that SRTA supports the cooperation between universities, prestigious scientific centers and industrial companies in the scientific research through training and development fields. In a related context, Professor Dr. Manal Ali Shalabi, Acting Head of the Center for the Development of Pharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical and Brewing Industries in the city, indicated that the workshop revolves around chromatography, considering it of great importance in several sectors, as chromatography technology plays a vital role in analyzing and separating chemical compounds and biological compounds, whether In research laboratories or industries such as pharmacy and chemistry, chromatography also plays an important role in quality control in industries such as food and medicine, so the workshop addresses how to use this technology to ensure the quality of products. She added that several sectors could benefit from the knowledge of chromatography, including: Pharmaceutical industry sector: ensuring the purity of ingredients and quality control. Biochemistry sector: analyzing biological compounds and chemical reactions in biological systems. Environmental sector: examining water and air pollution and analyzing organic compounds. Forensic medicine sector: analyzing biological samples to detect narcotic substances or toxins. Food industry sector: analyzing food ingredients and monitoring quality in food production.
