The City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications organized a workshop entitled “Scientific Writing” in cooperation with the University of Alexandria during 4th– 6th September 2023, under the supervision of professor Dr. Nahla Ahmed Taha- Dean of the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute- and the institute’s lectures and seminars organizing committee. The workshop was moderated by Dr. Nermin Ali Moussa – assistant professor, department of biotechnology – Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University. Dr. Gomaa Farouk El-Fawal- assistant professor at the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute and workshop coordinator- pointed out that scientific writing is the scientific communication between those involved in scientific research ( whether in universities, research centers, or in industrial fields around the world) through recording and publishing research results in various scientific journals. Also, for greater benefit, scientists are also interested in writing and reviewing scientific papers that summarize previously published research and achieve integration between them, thus increasing professional communication between scientists in different countries. From this standpoint, the workshop aims to show the correct path in scientific writing, the importance of scientific writing and its purpose. In addition to the steps that must be followed when conducting scientific research and improving scientific writing to spread awareness of the concept of scientific research and its importance in society.
