

As part of implementing Egypt Vision 2030, and under the patronage and guidance of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah – Acting Director of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications – and in line with efforts to enhance digital transformation and provide a secure and stable electronic work environment, SRTA City’s administration announced the implementation of concrete steps to secure its information infrastructure by providing the latest antivirus software to all computer users across SRTA City.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah directed the organization of an extensive introductory lecture aimed at raising technical awareness and ensuring the optimal use of the new protection system. The lecture was held on Monday, April 20, 2026, in the presence of deans of research institutes, many faculty members, their assistants, and employees of SRTA City. This step comes in service of faculty members, their assistants, and all employees, enabling them to carry out their scientific and administrative tasks according to the highest global standards of digital security.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Hamed El-Badry Hamed – Supervisor of the Digital Transformation Department at the City – in collaboration with experts from the global company Fortinet. It covered several key topics, including methods for installing and activating protection software on various devices, the essential requirements to ensure the effectiveness of cybersecurity programs, and best practices for preventing cyberattacks within the workplace. This initiative is part of SRTA City’s strategy to develop its technological infrastructure, ensuring the protection of research and institutional data from digital risks, in alignment with national directions toward comprehensive digitalization.
