Within the framework of the role of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications in serving the community, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City and Prof. Dr. Nahla Ahmed Taha, Dean of the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute, the city organized, through the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute, a Science Fun Day on Sunday, August 25, 2024, for the children of the city’s employees from the age of (5) years to (15) years. Where (105) children from the children of the city’s employees participated, and the day was divided into 3 scientific and artistic workshops: The first workshop: from the age of (5) to (8) years: (37) children participated in it, and scientific experiments were conducted, coloring and drawing workshops, and educational and entertainment films were shown, under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Shaaban, Dr. Heba El-Deeb, and Dr. Sara Gad. The second workshop: from the age of (9) to (11) years: (40) children participated and a number of scientific experiments and recreational activities were conducted, under the supervision of Dr. / Jehan El-Nady, Dr. / Naglaa Rushdi, and Dr. / Doaa Gamal. The third workshop: from the age of (12) to (15) years: (28) children participated and a documentary film about the city was shown at the beginning of the workshop, followed by the implementation of a number of scientific experiments with a scientific explanation of these experiments, under the supervision of Dr. / Abu Bakr Ahmed Amin, and Dr. / Wael Wazir. Dr. / Mohamed El-Nubi, Dr. / Marwa Yehia, Dr. / Mariam Shaker, and Eng. / Iman Gad also participated in the organization and coordination of this day.
