In light of the state’s trends towards achieving proficient scientific leadership at the educational level and linking universities with research centers for youth capabilities enhancement and encouraging them to scientific research and the pursuit of innovative scientific discoveries in achieving the strategic goals of national science, technology and innovation 2030, especially the focus of scientific research a, the education and scientific training industry, Also, in order to achieve the axes of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research through integration between the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City, the city concluded on Thursday 8/22/2024 the summer schools for the year 2024 for students of practical colleges (Engineering – Pharmacy – Veterinary Medicine – Sciences – Agriculture), as the training came during the period from 8/11/2024 to 8/22/2024. Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif stated that among the goals of establishing SRTA City is to use all its research units, scientific and service facilities in developing and disseminating technology in various scientific production and service activities for the scientific community in Egypt. Therefore, summer and winter school activities are held annually , She added that the training this came to contribute effectively to developing students’ skills to keep pace with technical development and link them to the local and international labor market, as the schools included two parts, one of which was theoretical lectures and the other was practical experiments within the city’s laboratories. This came through physical attendance designated for the top students at Alexandria University, as a number of (368) male and female students applied and a number of (215) were accepted Male and female students for (12) training program in many fields, which are as follows: (Water treatment using environmentally friendly natural materials, microbiology and cell culture techniques, development of natural product medicines, basics of beekeeping and apiculture, food safety, molecular biology and its applications, modern trends in water and wastewater treatment, marketing and business models, protein, modern trends in biotechnology, the role of microorganisms in environmental treatment, and nanomaterials and their uses) . In addition to online attendance courses for students at various Egyptian universities, a number of (642) male and female students , and were accepted (433) male and female students pplied for (8) training programs in the fields of (statistical analysis , air quality , food quality , Employing microbial physiology in environmental decontamination , Information Technology, and development of natural product medicines), under the supervision of an elite group of city scientists.
