Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City, announced that one of the teams participating in the third hackathon for smart solutions to new and renewable energy challenges, held at the headquarters of the Electronics Research Institute and in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology during the period from April 26 to 28, won fifth place, as the City participated with three work teams in Activities of the Third Hackathon for Smart Solutions to New and Renewable Energy Challenges, the first team: Under the title “Prototypes of Creative Ideas in the Field of Green Hydrogen Production,” headed by Dr. Huda Farid and membership of: Prof. Abu Bakr Amin, Dr. Wael Wazir , Dr. Sarah Gad, Dr. Heba El-Deeb, researchers at the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute. The second team: Under the title “Innovative Solutions for Producing New and Renewable Energy (Biomass Energy),” headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din Al-Noubi and membership of Prof. Hoda Farouk Zahran – Institute of Environmental and Natural Materials Research, Dr. Lamia Ali Abdullah – Institute of Informatics, Eng. Iman Muhammad Gad – Institute of Environmental and Natural Materials Research. The third team: in the field of “hydroelectric energy”, headed by Eng. Walaa Muhammad Jalal and membership of Eng. Alaa Salah Hassan at the Institute of Informatics. The first team, headed by Dr. Huda Farid, won fifth place (as a special award) after the first qualifiers, which included more than 80 teams and research projects in the fields of new and renewable energy.
