Visit of the President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology to the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications

Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City, received a delegation from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, headed by Professor Dr. Gina El-Feki, Acting President of the Academy, and some researchers from the Electronics Research Center, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah, Deputy Director of the City for Scientific Affairs. And the research professor Dr. Bayoumi Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Informatics Research Institute, and some of the city’s researchers.​ Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, City Director, reviewed the city’s most important ongoing research activities in all specializations and the extent of its ability to contribute to supporting the industrial sector as one of the houses of scientific expertise in Egypt. She also confirmed that the visit came to follow up and find out the latest developments in the joint research projects funded by the Academy within the framework of scientific and technological cooperation agreements through the programs and initiatives launched by the Academy to support scientific research and support the state’s efforts to link scientific research with industry, deepen local industrialization, production, transfer and localization of technology, and contribute In producing innovative, highly competitive products. The visit also included an inspection tour of the solar energy project (multiple applications using solar thermal energy MATS), the smart solid waste gasification project, and the Urban Living Lab.
