The Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute (GEBRI) was established in 2000 at the City of scientific research and Technological Applications, Burg Alarab city, Alexandria, Egypt. Since then, GEBRI has been given the mandate to undertake original, state of the art research activities. It was established with dual purposes of promoting research in the modern areas of biological sciences and biotechnology and providing advanced services, training and education for scientists, students and industrial partners.
Conducting the scientific researches and supervising theses (Master/Ph.D.) that contribute to solving community problems which related to nucleic acids technology, as well as, preparing generations of young researchers capable of innovation and contribute to the development of scientific research in Egypt and the world.
