

As part of its commitment to promoting intellectual and cultural awareness and reinforcing human and moral values among its members, the Scientific Research and Technological Applications City, under the patronage and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah, Acting Director of The City, hosted Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal, Director General of Preaching and Religious Media in Alexandria and Chairman of the Fatwa Committee at Al-Azhar, to deliver an educational religious seminar entitled "Higher Values: Their Role in Human Happiness in This Life and the Hereafter."
During the seminar, Sheikh Dr. El-Gamal discussed the fundamental principles of moral values and their direct impact on individuals' quality of life and the stability of societies. He also highlighted how these values are reflected in the workplace and contribute to productivity. The seminar focused on the concept of higher values, the importance of adhering to them, and their pivotal role in achieving psychological well-being and social stability.
The event was attended by the deans of SRTA City's research institutes, members of the research staff and their assistants, as well as administrative personnel. The seminar was also honored by the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Abbas El-Attar and Sheikh Mohamed Fouad Abu Leila, preachers from the Alexandria Region of Al-Azhar. The event took place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Hall of the Arid Lands Research Institute within the City's headquarters.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah emphasized that hosting such educational seminars reflects the City's commitment to developing generations of researchers and employees whose scientific expertise is complemented by strong ethical and human values. He noted that scientific research cannot be separated from ethics, stressing that higher values form the cornerstone for directing research and innovation toward serving society and promoting stability.
He also expressed his sincere appreciation to Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal for his valuable participation and his significant contribution to raising awareness among the City's members. Furthermore, he called for this educational seminar to be organized on a monthly basis to ensure the continuity of this positive interaction and intellectual enrichment for all employees.

At the conclusion of the seminar, following the discussion session, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah presented the City's Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation to Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal in recognition of his outstanding educational efforts and his valuable contribution to the success of the event. The honor also reflected SRTA City's appreciation for Al-Azhar's enduring role in promoting enlightened, moderate Islamic thought.
